Matt is amongst the third generation of the Ainscough family who’ve provided services to industry since the 1940’s. Having worked in operational & commercial management in the families crane business up until it’s sale to HBOS in 2007 , Matt bought the then Ainscough Vanguard Limited in 2009 from family shareholders and following transformation of the business he now resides as the Groups Chief Executive Officer. Matt’s responsibilities include the overall strategic direction of the company and compliance with it’s commitments to the highest levels of quality & safety.

David a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant began his accounting career in 1988. Over the years he has been involved in business acquisitions, multi-million pound property deals, contact negotiations, disputes & resolutions including all legal matters. Now as part of the successful management team at AIS Ltd, David uses his extensive experience as a senior member of the executive decision making team behind the success of the group.

Stephen has over 20 years engineering experience in both manufacturing and commercial roles, bringing expertise gained from the food, paper and ports industries. His role is to ensure Ainscough Industrial Services Ltd and our group of companies operate within legislation and execute our engineering services to the very highest standards

Robert McLemon

Group Commercial Director

Robert has been involved within the industrial market for over 30 years. He has held senior commercial roles within international blue chip organisations as well as growing SME’s. Robert is a RICS chartered surveyor and is a master of laws. (LLM) Robert’s role is to work closely with the group companies and develop a commercial strategic vision for integrated industrial services.

Laurence Goode

Laurence’s career spans electronic, electrical and mechanical engineering, including Operations, Sales, Marketing and General Management positions as a director/V.P. for over 25 years, in the UK and USA. He has considerable middle-east experience, mainly in Saudi Arabia. He is passionate about developing AIS’s people (he’s a former UK Group Training association Chairman), and raising industry standards and quality for AIS customers (he’s the founder Chairman of a successful sector Trade Association).

Philip Brabbins

Philip is an experienced and accomplished Project Director with over 15 years engineering industry experience backed by the commercial acumen to balance key profit drivers, growth & quality. He brings to Ainscough Industrial a reputation for delivering on time and to budget through exceptional implementation, problem solving and decision making skills.

Martin Hooper

Director Key Contracts AIS Vanguard

Martin has been in industrial relocation work for the past 16 years with a background in machine tools including significant sales roles. His current role within AIS Vanguard is that of Director; Key Contracts. This is a business development role with the objective of looking after and, ‘nurturing’, specific customer accounts with special requirements, including those with very large, long-term or on-going needs, those with diverse/multiple/geographically spread sites, OEMs and those in new areas that need internal changes and developments.

Chris Jones

Operations Director AIS Vanguard

Chris started out at Pickford’s Industrial in 1996 and he has been involved in all aspects of the business, with roles including those of Operations Manager and Branch Manager. In his current role as UK Operations Director, Chris is heavily involved in developing the Operations across the whole of AIS Vanguard to continually improve best practice, meet changing customer needs, and maximise the efficiency of the larger, more complex projects for our customers.

Jonathan Briggs

M&E Director

Jonathan brings with him many years experience in the M&E sector, including working as a senior electrical and control engineer within the brewing and distilling sector which took him all over the world working for the major brewers including: Carlsberg, Molson Coors, Heineken, ABinbev, Green King & Diageo. Previous to that he also worked for Toyota in Burnaston and ran his own successful electrical contracting company.

Matt Chard

Matt is a qualified mechanical engineer with over 30 years experience gained mainly within in the mechanical handling and heavy fabrication sectors. Initially joined Seward Wyon over 20 years ago as design Engineer. Continued career development has led to previous roles in senior Engineering Management and Director positions with both Seward Wyon and a world leading crane manufacturer. Considerable experience and a proven track record in the Engineering and Management of major multi-discipline projects including mechanical handling equipment manufacture, assembly, refurbishments and modifications, within the UK, USA and Canada.
